I wonder if you could help me with a little bit of information. I am trying to do a little research of an elderly gentleman who will be turning 90 yrs of age at the end of March 2009. He stated that he once served in the Royal Artillery 9 Possibly 50th Regiment or 50th Field Regiment as a Surveyor ?, not sure if i am correct in my information. His Army number is 82241 Alexander Grant. Not sure if this number comes from the WW2 era or not but going by the man’s good age i would have thought it possibly. I am trying to arrange something to give him on his birthday and to gather any information on this Regiment would be very much appreciated if you could help in any way.
