hi mal the garages down the ramp was our batt:garages and my first wagon that was signed onto me was a bedford R iwas over the moon it was really bulled up with an officer inspection the following day i stood by the wagon proud as punch as the officer went around it , he stopped at the front at the front of the wagon then asked me to open the air vent from in the cab, and inside was a used tin of boot polish, don`t know if it was a plant or the previouse driver left it in. yes i remember the piggeries further down at the bottom of ramp. i typed in 50th msl+forces 365 to see the photos you mentioned and could`nt find it don`t know if i done it right as said to geoff withers i`m only a learner on the net and i`v tried to send some of my own photos of 58 menden with no sucess keep writing and i`ll keep reading , phew! 50 years ago can`t believe it! smithy!!
