well roy your name don`t ring a bell was in 175 battery right opposite the naffie i done my fair share of cookhouse fats there was an old soldier cook i can remember nick-named baby he was mostly on officers mess duty and was off his head, always doing dirty things to the food before he served up to the officers, also a duff sarjent who wore glasses and rode a bike to his married pad he was greatly disliked . there was a brummie cook in our batt: his name was danks. i am still trying to catch any photos of the camp menden . had many a steak on the way in from town in the early hours when scotch cooks that i new were on duty. it`s nice to hear from another old soldier keek writing and i`ll keep reading stay safe scouse ron.
