Hi Ron,I cant believe I am in touch with one from the old regiment.You know the old place has changed beyond recognition from when we were there.Go to the 50 Misile site,they have some pics on there.
I was in training with a couple of 175ers.I wonder if you knew Scouse McVeigh,a great footballer. Or Syd Walton.Bernie Evitts or Jock Wilson?
Regarding the guitar players in rhq.My roommate Ron"SCOUSE"Gillies was a dab hand and a good singer.I am still in touch with him.He sang on the cruise ships after demob.Also a little dark guy Danny Desmir played guitar.Do you remember the old CO Col Kup?
In your battery i do remember there were a couple of national service Sgts.Johnny Daniels was one of them.
Pete Wood I cant recall,I was in MT myself.The names I do remember were the Armitt brothers,Burns,Weightman,Botham .Mal Vernon and Brian Phillips.Ask pete if he kner any of them?
