I wonder whether you might be able to help me in finding records of my father.

I have already tried:
Administrative Office Historical Disclosures,
Army Personnel Centre,
Civil Secretariat,
Historical Disclosures (their reference 63271)
who have spent 2 years with no success in finding any records except a brief note confirming he was a PoW.

Captain Hugh Elliott Breach was born on 25 December 1913 and died in September 1993.

As I understand it he enlisted early in the 1930’s and became a Prisoner of War at Casino. American forces liberated him in 1945 from Stalag Luft VII?

I also understand that he was treasurer for the Royal Artillery Association in or near Peterborough for many years.

As I am in Australia it has not been easy to further my research but am surprised that his file seems to be missing when he was in the military forces for over 10 years.
