My Great Uncle FRANCIS JOHN GALEOZZIE, from Wales, was a 'gunner' with 233LTAA Regt RA in 1941 and posted to Burma in May 1941. He was also with other RA Regts. 44 LAA, 91/44 LAA, 78LAA (Oct 1945) finally RA Reserves in Jan 1953. Family stories say, Francis was paratooped and 'lost' in Burma with no contact with family for over a year. Francis passed way in his home in Wales in 1983. Any information regarding the regts, anyone remembers him would be gratful.
Also would anyone know if this information was true regarding being 'lost in Burma/india and what does 'LAA' AND 'LTAA' mean?
