Posted by white_lancer Here in Australia, I watch BBC, CNN and the ABC (Australian). That's a pretty balanced view, but I wish the English Al Jazeera site wasn't knocked out. Jim Lehrer's not that bad, but the show's usually about two or three days old by the time we get it.

The only problem I see with the coverage is that the reporters are exactly that: reporters, and they are not military experts. The problem is that they pretend to be. Questioning military strategy when you haven't been in the armed forces is a bad thing in itself, but when you have such an inaccurate and imcomplete picture as some reporters do, it's best to report and not second-guess military commanders who have a much better picture.
