I would have to say that I am somewhat cautious of the embedded reporters idea. I have this bad feeling that such reporters are going to cause major problems later on. Oh well, we'll see. I don't like the media coverage, and the reason I don't like the media coverage is because of its pessimism. Fox News is the only station I've seen that isn't going after this war like we're losing, and I don't particularly like Fox News. Every other news network that I've seen has been playing this out like lightning war is a tactic that can't possibly win, and the current war plan was so quickly put together that it is impotent and not working. One reporter I saw pretty much matter-of-factly disagreed with a military official over whether or not bypassing main pockets of resistance in the initial wave and surrounding those forces with a second force was a good idea or not.
