Posted by Phoebus Apollo on 3/26/2003, 5:21 am My opinion - However, Saddam is a terrible dictator. I do not believe that deployed military should be used frivolously, so I would not advocate ending the war at it's current state, even though I am against the war. I am in favor of troop advancement and a swift and decisive end to Iraqi dictatorship. If we are going to be amoral in deploying our troops, let's at least be moral in how we use them. I would prefer to see something for Iraqi people that isn't a state of total fundamentalist totalitarianism. Our war efforts have been good thus far, but I feel we could advance swifter and have fewer accidents. I like our very localized but devestating missle campaign, I hear many accounts from Baghdad citizens that residential areas are not being hit by stray missles, that they are incredibly accurate. I am against anti-war activism at home, and think the people carrying out these protests are despicable. I live in Portland, Oregon and here there was a horrible riot. Rioters captured 3 bridges and barricaded two highways, sat-in at one bridge for more than 12 hours. There is such as protesting for the wrong reasons, and convential anti-war activists are always wrong. Well, there you go. That's all I got to say for the moment. I like the media coverage. Very unique to get such high-quality live feed straight from a battlefield.

This is essentially a military/history discussion board, but no one talking about the war?
I am against the War on Iraq occuring. I do not believe the U.S. has the authority, through any agency, to deride Iraq's soveriegnty by saying it must disarm or abide by no-fly-zone policies.
