Posted by white_lancer Iraq's military has been ruined by 12 years of continued bombing and sanctions whereas North Korea continues to receive arms from elsewhere and takes a far more belligerent stand than Iraq. However this could be a cry for international attention towards the food shortages in NK, which I dont really understand. Call me naive, but if you can't feed your population, how are you able to build a substantial armed forces? I think North Korea is more of a threat, and the world is being distracted by the threat of a war in Iraq. Let's hope however that North Korea is just bluffing and they have no plans for aggression in the region. BTW, I haven't done any research before this post, I'm just going on what I've read on the BBC website (and time).

I was reading in Time that North Korea are developing a missile system that could reach the American mainland, whereas Iraq's missiles don't come anywhere near the US, UK, Australia or Europe.
