Yes, the 10(approx) divisions we had in the Pacific Theater by the end of '42 would have had to remain, of course. But I'm thinking that if the Germans had romped at Stalingrad, the other 15(approx) divisions that were in reality sent to the Pacific between then and 8/44 would have been reserved for Europe. In reality, Eisenhower would have loved to have had another 15 divisions anyway. Check me out on this Iceburn, but I think it was Marshall who said that the defeat of Japan would not mean the defeat of Germany, but that the defeat of Germany would mean the defeat of Japan.
