Just a polite notice to inform any acoustic acts who have booked to play at the India Arms in Southsea through a (so called) "promoter" called Dan Wells to be VERY careful. Last night I was supposed to play. Dan Wells had confirmed the gig was going ahead a few days ago via text, but when I arrived at the venue Dan was nowhere to be found and they were having a Nu-Metal DJ night. The bar staff told me the gig must've been cancelled. A number of people had come along to watch me play, and I had to send them home disappointed. This was obviously highly embarrassing. After numerous unanswered calls to Dan's mobile throughout yesterday evening, I finally got hold of him this morning by phoning from my landline (so he wouldn’t recognise the number… crafty, eh?!). When I explained who I was, he just hung up. He didn't offer me any explanation or apology. Highly suspicious, I’m sure you’ll agree. BE WARNED!
