3rd March , Roger Courtney's Open Mike Club, The Barn, Milton Arms, Milton The enigmatic Ade Cull supplied the early entertainment this week. I can never make up my mind whether he's really that much of a scatter brain or if it's all just part of his stage persona :-) But whatever, he treated a select few to the pleasure of his voice and beautifully played guitar. He has a very deceptive style, in that he doesn't look like he's working very hard, but he is. He managed to fit in the very lovely 'Spencer the Rover' which I just love, and always reminds me of my childhood, growing up in a house full of music. We were a bit light on the ground today - in numbers, but not quality. Lauren even had a go at a Neil Sedaka song. Also playing were Steve - who is now selling a 4 track ep, Nick, James, Del, Matt and 1/2 of The Explorers. I played a new song 'One For You' which went surprisingly okay for a first attempt, and also played Woody Guthries 'Birds and Ships'. A special prize for anyone who can remember the other song I played ... because I bloody can't :-))))) It's an age thing. http://www.kevhardy.com/
