Just a note to thank Nick for organising the Christmas party last night... Sounds like his whole day was spent cooking meat and making rolls!!
It was great to see the club full with some faces not seen for a while.
My only complaint is that with all that booze in the raffle, how come I won a book on how to bake cakes!!
Special thanks to Jules who joined Paul and me (the Explorers) for The KT Tunstall Song and 'Fairytale'. We had rehearsed these with someone else but they had a throat infection so Jules really did step in at the last minute to do the songs with us. Last night was the first time we had played them together.
Thanks to all the other performers for doing such a damn fine job.
As you know, the Explorers are doing the hour slot next week. If anyone fancies doing some lead or backing vocals with the band, have a read through our set list at our web site, pick a song and we will do it live next week. A kind of New Wave impromptu karaoke!
