walk out
Posted by Rhonda Murray In your opinion, is there a plan that is better suited to a walk out lot on lakefront property? Thanks, Rhonda M.

Re: walk out
Posted by John It is always good to hear from our 'alumni'! All of our main cottage plans can be converted to walk-out plans, but some work better than others. Any plan which only has a ship's ladder to the loft, is difficult to use with a basement design, either as a walkout or a traditional (dark) basement. The main think to consider when selecting a plan in this case, is to make sure that the main living areas are one the view side, whether it is the front of back. For example the B series plan (and the D) works best if your view and walk-out are on the road side of your lot. If you view is to the back yard, then I would consider the A, C, E, F, G, H, and I series the best options. Normally we have the walk-out under the main living areas so both levels can take advantage of the views. Certain lots have side view, and in most cases as long as we know that, we can customize the foundation plans to suit. I hope this helps, John
