I'm soon ready to purchase plans and take them to a builder. I was wondering if it's customary to request changes prior to purchasing them or is it okay to do so after the plans have been reviewed with the builder?
The weekend warrior set of drawings has a lot of detail and I think it would be wise to have your builder review them. Normally with this series the contractors make the changes themselves and we don't get involved.
The only benefit of getting a quote before hand is to ensure that what you want to do can be done and how many hours we are looking at for customization. I would suggest you email me directly at john@robinsonplans.com with your proposed changes to make sure you know as much as possible upfront as the drawings are non-refundable.
If you have any other questions, please let me know either here on the message board or email me directly.
