I have been a follower for years. I recently accepted a job in a Lake Michigan community. There is a great narrow lot on which to build. This plan would be ideal for this location and view. I could not be happier. Has anyone built from this plan?
I will ultimately ask you to modify this plan for three changes. We need a bump out for our checkering baby grand piano off the dining area, a two stall garage to the entry side of the house. Lastly a reconfiguration to the second floor bathrooms to give us a deluxe master suite.
The lower level will be perfect for guests to spend a week at the beach without us while we work.
I am very pleased to see this addition to your portfolio.
Best regards, Brian

Hi Brian:
I am glad you like this new contemporary series. we have sold a few but they are just starting construction. We also have four more similar plans in this series, all different sizes includeing a bungalow plan. we are a while from getting them on the website but if you are interested I can send you some pdf's of the plans and elevations. It has been very interesting and rewarding working on this simple fresh style.
I would need to know the maximum width of your lot. Normally if we were adding a two car garage we would be looking at a width of at least 22'. It would also be good to know exacly what size your piano is and how it would be oriented off the dining room.
You can email me directly at john@robinsonplans.com if you like.
Thanks John

John,
Thank you for your response. Lot width is 67 ft. The Chickering Baby Grand is about 6 ft and we will have to have about 3 feet for the bench. I am sure it can be done. I was hoping to have 10 ft on each side of the house so that leave 27 ft for the garage.
The lot is on a street that goes west to lake michigan. It has a view if I pull the house as close to the street as I can but keep the garage back no closer than the entry way.
We are very excited to find your plan. I would like to see the other versions but they must follow the same princple as this excellant plan has.
As they say. There is a plan for every lot and this one would work beautifully. It is dramatic yet follows the princple of staying small which is a HUGE positive.
We also like the Guest quarters for our guests which can be closed up when not in use. A small stylish design will be perfect for us in this stage in our life.
We also believe that cooking and entertaining is an experience and the ability to be all together in a stylish space only enhances the memories and fun.
