What is the height of the weekend warrior from ground to roof ridge and the height from ground to the top of the outside wall before roof goes on? Thank you.
The ht of the floor of the weekend warrior down to grade is up to you, depending on whether or not you have a slab, crawlspace or even a pier foundation. So this could vary from 6" to 4'. I will list the hts from the top of the subfloor.
The ht of the top of the walls from the top of subfloor is 15'-7". The overall ht to the top of the roof ridge above the subfloor is 17'-10".
If you have any other questions, please let us know.
If I'm not installing a loft and I don't want a cathedral ceiling but prefer 8 or 9 foot ceilings, how much can I reduce the height of the house through the pitch of the roof? Thank you.
If you would like to reduce the overall ht of the Weekend Warrior, by eliminating the loft you can save considerable ht. For example, if you were to replace the current 12 in 12 roof with a 4 in 12, you would reduce the overall ht from 17'-8" to 11'-6". An 8 in 12 roof slope would have a ht of 14'-6". We can pretty well chose whatever slope you like. These hts that I have listed are from the top of the subfloor upward, and do not include the floor construction.
