I heard something about John Robinson working with Sarah Richardson on her upcoming show. Is this right? When will it air?

Hi Paul: The farmhouse addition that we designed for Sarah Richardson was not one of our standard Craftsman plans, but was based on the overall look and massing of our Weekend Warrior series. When we started planning the addition, it was our intent not to copy the original brick construction (with a slight Victorian flair) but to create a grouping of smaller lesser detailed shapes, resembling a cluster of farm buildings. This would allow the main brick house to be dominant, and any attempt to make it look like a larger brick house would take away from it's farmhouse feel and scale. Our weekend warrior plans are based on the same concept, where by grouping them in several configurations, you can get the feel of a smaller building. I think the home turned out amazing and it appears that the money spent on the renos is okay with the realtors. If you have any questions about the WW plans, please let us know. John

I would really like acheive the living quarters that you have helped Sarah Richardson develop . Her cottage is essentially my dream home. Could you please help me? I have searched high and low to get the floor plans for this place. Thank you! Regards, Valerie

Hi valerie: Thanks for writing about Sarah's TV show build. We were not involved with the cottage, but we designed the addition to the Farmhouse that was aired this spring. If that is the one you are thinking of, I need to check with Sarah Richardson regarding copyright and privacy issues. Thanks John

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my message. I am interested in the floor plans and layout of the addition that you designed in the farm house. I also love the layout of the main floor of her cottage and thought that it would be nice to combine both for my new place. I m not sure how to go about getting the floor plans for the cottage but I would appreciate if you approached Sarah about the plans for the addition. Thank you so much VAL

Is there floor plans somewhere to see the addition? Also, how many square feet is the family room addition? What are the exterior paint colors?

Hi Jonathon: Thanks for writing. This plan is copyrighted by Sarah Richardson Design. If you contact their website, you may be able to obtain a floor plan. I am pretty sure that their website lists the paint colors. You might find this information at www.sarahrichardsondesign.com Thanks John
