Posted by Sylvester Black Can your plans include accommodations for my wife and I as we get older such as lower height switches, open shower stalls, lower countertops in the kitchen and bath, elevator, etc. Are any of the exterior materials maintenance free (hardi or cement shingles for instance) or is this at the discretion of the builder. Am I asking you guys too many questions? Thanks, your plans look wonderful.

Posted by Rob Young Yes, our plans can be adapted to use most any types of pre-manufactured walls systems, from panalized home packages, SIPS panels or even ICF construction. For the first two options, we would not have to alter our plans as the supplier will cpmplete their own shop drawings but if you choose to use ICF for more than just the foundation, I would recommend having us modify our plans to suit just in case the added wall thickness forces changes in the plans. In regards to making our designs more user friendly as you grow older, we can do that as well. I would suggest that you call me to discuss how far you would like the plans to be adjusted to make the homes more comfortable for your future lifestyle. Whether it be just common issues old age brings on, or if the foreseable future deems a wheelchair way we can make sure your needs and concerns are addressed. As for the exterior materials, our standard plans all show cedar siding and trims but we can either substitute material call-ups for you or you can simply have your builder make that adjustment.
