Posted by John Robinson Sips panels do have an advantage for energy efficiency, and for fast consturction but they usually run (based on the jobs I have been involved with) considerable more expensive. All of our plans feature standard wood frame walls, but sips can be substituted. In some cases due to higher wall ht, additional columns might be required, but this design work is included in the material costs for the panels. Sips work well for roofs too, but you would need to add ridge beams to pick up loads, instead of the trusses we have detailed. For these kind of changes I would suggest ordering a digital set of drawings that could be sent to the sips supplier to co-ordinate all the design criteria. John
