I was wondering if you would have initial thoughts on this before I purchase plans and make any modifications to them. The kitchen, laundry and downstairs bath is the main area of question for me. In the kitchen, I don't see space for a dishwasher, pantry or microwave. I suppose the island could house the microwave and cupboards, but I would definitely want a dishwasher. Regarding laundry, I would like to have this un-stacked. To solve this, maybe eliminate the tub from the downstairs bath, set the toilet and sink across from each other where the tub is now. Place the water heater where the sink is now. Then, I could place the washing machine where the water heater is now. That might solve the un-stacked laundry issue, but do you have any ideas about placing a dishwasher and ideally a tall pantry cabinet? Would the only way to do this be to bump out a wall, say the south wall and reduce the size of the screened porch? (which I love, BTW - just like how I grew up, a screened porch for summer sleeping! :o) Any thoughts from anyone would be greatly appreciated! best, P.S. Your plans are great!! I am getting ready to build now, and seriously considering the C-1224. I have a couple of questions about it, and thought I'd post on the message board in case others might be interested in the answers as well.
