When I look at, what would for my lot be the view from the road, I am wondering if the foyer could be extended out 4-6 ft using a roof like the upstairs balcony? I would also add a door next to the down bath to reach the yard more directly from the kitchen. A higher ceiling would be possible up into the attic space, maybe even a porthole in the upstairs bath. This is the S-SW side and some more windows would increase light and solar heating.
Also, what is the ceiling height on the main floor.
