Hello Kate:
We can easily do this for you. There are basically 2 options you can do to achieve the additional square footage that is needed with the first being; extending the loft out over the great room. This is by far the more economical option but it also has the biggest impact on the original design by eliminating the 2 storey ceiling in the great room.
The second option would be to build into the attic spaces on either side of the loft. This carries a greater expense but gives you more flexibility in design and does not take away from the great room.
