We are in the process of building a modified "F". Just to the point where we have to make a decision on siding. Since the beginning we have favored Hardi board. Real wood not practical on the east coast of US. Near a golf course so we need something durable too. Had considered B&B look using Hardiplank, but found out it would be $7M upcharge over the plank. We'll be going with the plank.
