Posted by Rob Young Your #1 request is definitely possible and it will actually save you some construction costs. Even though you are adding square footage, you are squaring off the foundation which makes it easier (cheaper) to do. You still have the same linear length of concrete and exterior siding, so there is no increase in materials needed and you have eliminated one corner which will save your installers time. The only downside would be that you will lose that corner window in the greatroom lessening your view in that direction. Your #2 request is also possible. We have not done this type of change as of yet but I see no structural or esthetic reasons why not to do it other than you may lose counter space because of the door to the screen porch may be in the way. You may want to move the door to the adjacent wall where the window is in the greatroom to allow more wall space for cabinets. The #3 request is a very popular one but unfortunately I do not have any photos of this to share with you. I can however send you a sketch directly of one we have just recently completed to give you an idea of how it will look. In regards to my thoughts on these changes, I think they both are good choices. The additional room added to that bedroom will be nice and by flipping the kitchen you will be able to enjoy the view while preparing meals. Please let me know if you have any other questions about my comments. Rob Young
