I would expect Atlas Shrugged
to win. Young cultists are the most likely to vote in these things. (Thank heavens no L. Ron Hubbard books are listed.) The Lord of the Rings
or even Ready Player One
are also likely winners. When you leave it up to voters without curating for quality, you get the lowest common denominator (with a modest tip of the hat to Mr. Tolkien, who perhaps does not deserve to be lumped with the likes of Cline and Rand).
Alright, I'll skip that then, haha.
I watched the opening of this Great American Read thing. It was rather dull. They just introduced the novels, had people, including various celebrities, give introductions of them.
Apparently, you can vote once a day, so you can vote for all the books you like and the book which gets the most votes wins. It lasts all summer, and they'll have a show revealing the winner in a couple months.
I haven't bothered to vote so far.
