"Gregorius" could be a side project, just as the Barsetshire series. I've never read Bellow, so if you want to read something, I would be in.
I have four suggestions for the second half. Any one will be fine with me, the one you think best. If you don't like any, I have other suggestions (I sound like Groucho Marx). Here they go:
1. "The Missing Head of Damasceno Monteiro", by Antonio Tabucchi. 2. "The Bostonians", by Henry James. 3. "Tess of the D'Urbervilles", by Thomas Hardy. 4. "The Sorrow of War", by Bao Ninh.
--Previous Message-- : Okay. Well, I had suggested Herzog , but : joffre had already read it and was not : enthusiastic. At the time, I was interested : in reading some Saul Bellow. I read Herzog : when I was a teenager. I knew there was : something there, but I was too young to : really get it. Anyway, I'm not necessarily : as committed to Bellow as I felt then. I : would like to read Gregorius , but that : could be a side project, like Barsetshire. : I'm not certain that joffre has any interest : in it. What are your ideas? : : : : --Previous Message-- : Hey guys. : : I know we have The Underdogs scheduled for : now (May-June). I plan to get to it : shortly. But It seems to me that we have : not settled on any books for the second half : of the year, although we discussed some : possible titles six months ago or so. : : Any thoughts? : : :
