I'll try to say whatever I can about Eco or Baudolino.
I sort of wish Eco had been a one novel guy. The Name of the Rose was really enjoyable reading. I feel really let down by Foucault's Pendulum and Baudolino.
I'm sure there are interesting things to be gleaned from a second reading. What's with that introductory chapter? What's its relation to the rest of the book? But to give a book a second reading - anytime soon anyway, I need to enjoy the first reading more.
I did start to find the book more interesting, I think, when they started theorizing about the holy grail. But my interest quickly waned. It picked up a bit from time to time but never for very long.
I really don't know what else I can say.
