I finished Gormenghast. It took a while to get as good as Titus Groan. The business of Irma Prunesquallor's man hunt was a little dull.
Sterling, when did you read the trilogy. I gather from the introduction to both Titus Groan and Gormenghast that much somehow lost manuscript material was added to Titus Alone in 2011. It's still a fairly short novel, less than 300 pages, so I'm going to go ahead and read it. I'll let you know what I think.
Right now, I'm rereading Alias Grace. I enjoyed it very well ten years ago. A couple years ago, I enjoyed The Handmaid's Tale and The Penelopiad. I think I'm going to read The Blind Assassin soon, and if I enjoy that as well, I will go on to more Margaret Atwood.
When I finish Grace, I'll start Baudolino.
