Sterling: you would be most welcome to Mexico City. Semana Santa (Holy Week) in March or April (I'll have to look it up to see the exact dates for 2018) is great as the city is deserted, there's no rain, traffic is low and so it is most enjoyable. If you feel comfortable, you can stay at our apartment, very conveniently located, or we can look for a hotel or Airbnb close by. Make your plans and let me know in advance, so we won't make other plans. Great idea!
: Sorry, I can't make it to Mexico City. But
: you should still go, Sterling. You guys have
: B.A. is a great city to visit. There are
: some beautiful places, some interesting
: things to do. I think most foreign cities
: are more or less interesting.
: I like living here well enough. The thing I
: hate most is that nobody ever wants to go to
: bed. Parties, family birthday parties for 8
: or 80 year olds, go on til two or three in
: the morning or even later. I don't care for
: them in the afternoon; I hate them at night.
: I am not at all a social person, which is
: why my Spanish is no better than it is. I am
: glad, though, to have learned a bit of a
: second language. I can make simple
: conversation or understand simple stories.
: My work has been tolerable enough until
: recently, and I am trying to patiently let
: this moment pass. I work 20-25 hours a week
: and almost not at all in summer, but I've
: been able to save here sharing the apartment
: with Mari. I have only recently realized how
: lucky we were to find this place. We are
: separating now, and it looks like I will
: have to pay more than we pay together. I
: want to stay for a few months to see how I
: feel, but it's very likely I'll go back to
: my family soon.
