Buenos Aires is such a cool city! Nine years ago, I went to Ottawa on business and we arranged a dinner party with Lale, her husband, Lady Purple and the Bunyip (sadly deceased now), former contributors to ReadLit. It was so much fun. Perhaps some day we could arrange a meeting in some place. Mexico City is really interesting and sophisticated, and it's easy to reach from, say Atlanta airport, or as a stop from Buenos Aires. You'd be most welcome!
: Yes, well, one thing Thomas Wolfe got right is
: that you can't go home again. I dream all
: the time about going back to live in my home
: town of Ellensburg, WA. But I know it would
: be in no way the same (except I would much
: prefer the climate).
: I don't always hate Alabama, but I pretty
: much always hate Tuscaloosa. If you're male
: here, your primary interests are Alabama
: football and deer hunting.
: I can imagine there would be some drawbacks
: to where you're living although it sounds
: impossibly cool to me. I've never been to
: South America. Indeed, I haven't even been
: to Mexico since I was a child.
: It would be great to get together sometime.
: I'd probably pass on the Dreamland ribs, but
: it would be very fun to meet you face to

: My best friend in the U.S. lives in Atlanta.
: Last time I was home, we met in Tuscaloosa
: and looked around, ate some ribs at
: Dreamland. Maybe we can meet and eat ribs
: I grew up in Carthage, MS. I didn't hate it
: at the time. Maybe I don't really hate it
: now. I do like it better here in many ways.
: I like it less in some ways too.
