I think that should work pretty well. Palomar is, like other Calvino works I've read, very short. It can easily be read in September after you've completed Middlemarch, Guillermo. I remember admiring Middlemarch a great deal, although it has been many years since I've read it. So, Palomar for September. The Three Musketeers for December, and you and I, Guillermo, will fit in the Trollopes as we see fit. Joffre and I will each pick a novel to be read in either October or November. H-m-m-m. I'll give it some thought. Maybe something contemporary. We'll see.
: Yesterday I started reading "Middlemarch", a
: serious absence in my reading life. "The
: Warden" and "Barchester Tower" are on
: the way from Amazon and of course I would like to read
: them with Sterling. I'll get "Mr. Palomar"
: this week but won't start reading it until I'm done
: with "Middlemarch", I'll let you know.
: What about this? We have "Mr. Palomar" for
: September. That leaves October, November and December.
: We could read "The Three Musketeers" in
: December and that would leave a choice by Joffre and
: one for Sterling for Oct. and Nov. Whatever you choose
: is fine with me.
