I am about 1/3 of the way through our August selection. The writing is very beautiful and highly descriptive of Istanbul. The novel reminds me in many ways of The Man Without Qualities.
In Part II there is much discussion of traditional Turkish music. Lale, could you perhaps provide some links to samples of this music so we can get an idea of what it sounds like?
