I'll have to think about this a bit. Thanks for posting it. I'll admit that The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie and The Savage Detectives are two novels I'd never expect to see mentioned in the same sentence. (I haven't read The Death of Ricardo Reis... maybe this year.)
