I will probably ring in the new year sound asleep as usual. We've been babysitting grandkids all week while they're home from school and are exhausted from breaking up fights, cooking, doing laundry, picking up messes, etc.
Aside from the usual weight and exercise resolutions, I've resolved for 2012 to read more books than I buy each month and to reduce the size of my collection by the end of the year. In 2011 I read 124 physical books (plus 12 e-books), sold several bags of books, and my shelves are more crowded than ever, so there's no telling how many I bought or acquired as gifts or review copies. This year I plan to track it and not allow myself to set foot in a bookstore if my numbers aren't favorable.
