This year's Governor General's award (Canada's most prestigious literary award) went to The Sisters Brothers which was also short-listed for the Booker prize.
Until recently I did not understand what the title meant, the sisters brothers ??? I thought an apostrophe was missing somewhere. Now I know that "Sisters" is the last name of two brothers, like "The Smith Brothers" 
What a cool name!
I hope we can read it sometime in the new year.
