Name: Katya C. Message: I picked up this book from the school library on one of those days when I was bored and had nothing else to do, I didn't know who Simone de Beauvoir was, it was just a random book. But as I began to read I realized that it was like no novel I had ever laid hands on. It made me think a lot. I had to re-read some parts of it but I didn't mind because the message behind the words was fascinating. With lesser writing I would have found the story interesting but not as compelling as it was. It really was the little details, the metaphors, the way the writer developed and understood her characters, and even the impossibly satisfying end of the book that made me say "wo..." when I finished it. This woman understands the emotions she writes about and I identified with many of the things she said. I loved it. Please give it a try. My Input Box 1: L'invitée Hearts: 5 Hearts
