Our scheduled reading for the rest of 2011 is as follows:
September - The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga
October - The Betrothed (I promessi sposi) by Alessandro Manzoni
November - Omensetter's Luck by William H. Gass
December - Rickshaw Boy (also published as Rickshaw) by Lao She
Since we are a small (for now) group there is no set date to begin discussion. We typically begin reading the book early in the month, and just start discussing it when we are ready. We don't all read every book, and you're certainly welcome to join in the discussion of other topics (or initiate some topics yourself) even if you aren't participating in the monthly readings.
As Lale indicated, will will soon be selecting the books we read together in 2012, and we'd love to have you take part in that process.
