What exactly makes you think of Maria Sara as a 'posh babe', Guillermo? I'm almost through my second reading and haven't found any explicit comment about her appearance either. Is it a male thing to imagine always that the heroine is attractive unless told otherwise? Do women do the same thing with male characters? Things are said which lead me to feel that M.S. is attractive, but when I think about it, they can all be said of an ugly woman. It is, of course, possible that I missed something.
