I thought Iīd go ahead and start some discussion here.
I like the tone of the prologue. What would you call it? Farcical? It lets you know right away what kind of crazy book this is going to be.
I really like books so firmly set in a place. I love to be able to read such books before travelling to those places.
On p. 35 of my Malmstead Maguire translation, Bely says something about all this being the authorīs fancy, idle cerebral play. I love this remark since this is how I take all literature.
I love the end of chapter 1. Steven, is this stuff missing from the Cournos translation?
