I started it and, after 30 or so pages, I decided that I didn't want to go on.
I understand the concept of "invisibility." It happens to people in wheelchair, for instance, most people avoid making eye-contact with someone in a wheelchair (sometimes it happens not because of any discriminatory feelings but simply due to extreme care not to stare, regardless, it makes the person in wheelchair feel invisible.)
I couldn't read the book because it the style didn't engage me. I found my mind wandering off.
Instead I read and Ottawa author's latest book: Elizabeth Hay's Late Nights on Air. I enjoyed it very much. Elizabeth Hay will be our guest speaker at an event we organize as Canadian and Turkish Women's Association on November the 8th. You are all invited. Free for members, $5 for non-members
