I prefer to discuss The Heart of the Matter first because I just finished reading it.
It will take me a couple more weeks for The Lover because I am reading something else now.
So, for me, it would be the best if The Lover was after The Heart.

: We have two short novels scheduled for August:
:
: The Heart of the Matter by Graham Greene
: The Lover by Marguerite Duras
:
: The schedule doesn't specify in which order we will
: discuss them. What would you prefer?
:
: 1. We could take them in chronological order and do
: The Heart of the Matter first,
:
: 2. Or we could read The Lover first because it is
: shorter,
:
: 3. Or, if most people aren't planning to read both
: works, we could just discuss either work whenever
: anyone is ready.
:
: I read both books a few years ago, but plan to re-read
: both of them now. The order doesn't matter to me. In
: addition, however, in the meantime I'm hoping to read
: at least one additional novel from each author that I
: haven't previously read. Probably: Brighton Rock and
: The Ravishing of Lol Stein.
