A very diverse selection Steven. Bravo.
: Zeno's Conscience by Italo Svevo
: a psychological study with an unreliable narrator
: should make for interesting discussion
This is a delightful book. It was a book club choice by our group some years back, but back then the participants were different, so I don't mind putting it on the plate one more time. I am pretty sure Rizwan and Guillermo read it the first time round, as I did. Like I said, there may be others who wish to read it now and I certainly would enjoy participating in a new discussion.
: Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Great book. A lot of fun. I have read and loved it 20 years ago. This book, along with Death in Venice and the Razor's Edge, are, in my opinion, the 3 great misnomers of literature.
: The Goalie's Anxiety at the Penalty Kick by Peter Handke
: because it's a World Cup year, of course
That's right. It is the world cup year. Turkey didn't make it though.
