That's really interesting. R-G presents the narrator's psyche as though it were clinical material. No interpretation from him, which allows (invites?) us to do the analysis ourselves, if we so desire. Cool.
P.S. The article you linked is hard to read, but worth the trouble. I think it must have been translated by a program. Even though my high school French is many (many!) years ago, it looks like French syntax to me.
