I think what R-G objects to is psychological analysis by the author. He doesn't analyze his character; he presents his mental state. I found this essay online:

It seems to have been translated by a program, so it's not easy to read. The author says that while R-G has given up psychological analysis, he has not given up psychology. He says one could even consider Jealousy a hyper-psychological novel.
