Some of our best discussions have been about books that weren't on our reading schedule, but how can we learn what others are reading? I propose doing a "What Are You Reading?" post each month, and those interested can reply with their own lists.
My list follows. I'm not including the books on our reading schedule, since you know about those already. If you want to use a different format in your reply or propose another approach, please do so.
Recently Finished:
The Stranger by Albert Camus
Tropisms by Nathalie Sarraute
Berlin Stories by Christopher Isherwood
Lady Chatterley's Lover by D. H. Lawrence
The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkein
Currently Reading:
The Mysteries of Udolfo by Ann Radcliffe
Les Liaisons Dangereuses by Choderlos de Laclos
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle
The Tale of Genji by Murasaki Shikibu
The Iliad by Homer
Plan to Read (highly subject to change):
The Golden Notebook by Doris Lessing
Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston
The Recognitions by William Gaddis
Underworld by Don DeLillo
Rabbit, Run by John Updike
