We inadvertently ignore some new comers or one-time posters. I am guilty of checking only what my screen shows (the latest discussions) and I rarely scroll down. Every now and then, however, I scroll all the way down and look at the names. Often, I find a name that does not belong to the usual suspects. then I feel very guilty, I feel that we are neglecting these new friends and of course when they don't hear back from us, they go away.
Today, I found three new names: One is Brian, I think he is my friend from first year university. He commented on Zorba. Yes, I do think Anthony Quinn made a great Zorba, although I only watched the movie when I was a child (might have slept through it in the theatre) and I don't remember much of it. They were recently showing it on TV when I was reading the book. Of course I didn't watch it because it would ruin the book for me. Now, I want to see it but our local video store doesn't have it and we haven't furthered the search yet.
The other new name I saw was Sara. Sara commented on The Old Man and the Sea.
The third name was Arukiyomi. She was responding to a list Steven posted.
I hope these new friends can forgive us for not seeing their posts.
Does anyone have a suggestion that can help us or force us to check the earlier threads fro new postings?
Lale
