Has anyone here read this book? I bought it a couple of weekends ago in the bookshop of a lakeside resort called Valle de Bravo. I remembered the title but had no idea what itwas about. I bought it in a whim and devoured it. I loved it and I'm sure some, if not all, of you would like it. The author is Betty Smith and there are more than 500 reviews in Amazon. It's the beautiful tale about an 11-year old girl, Francie Nolan, growing up poor and lonely in early XX Century Brooklyn.
