Hope you have great trips, Lale & Steven!
I started rereading "A Confederacy of Dunces" and it's just as good as I remember. Ignatius has just bumbled, stumbled and eaten his way into the job selling hot dogs for Paradise Vendors, which is based on this real-life company in New Orleans:

: Greetings to all from Turkey.
:
: Are we a little behind?
:
: I am way ahead of you guys, in fact, 7 hours ahead of
: you. I flew to Ankara on 8th of May. I was planning to
: tell you guys but the last days before the trip were
: very hectic and I couldn't.
:
: Back in Ottawa, as soon as I finished Turgenev, I
: picked up a book which I believed to be the April
: book: Aunt Julia and the Scriptwriter. By the time I
: checked our reading schedule for 2008, it was already
: too late to drop Aunt Julia, so I am really truly
: ahead of you guys.
:
: I did take Mist and Confederacy of Dunces with me
: on the trip, so hopefully I will finish those before
: returning back to Ottawa.
:
: I do not have "Suite Francaise" and it is
: too late now to acquire it on time, so I guess I will
: have to skip that book for at least a while.
:
: I am loving "Aunt Julia and the Scriptwrite"
: it is so entertaining.
:
: I started Mist this evening. I'm not
: a big favorite picker, but wow, I love this book.
:
: Good to know! I was a little bit hesitant due to the
: title.
:
: want to give a word of advise for reading it.
:
: I will follow the advise, thank you.
:
: I usually skip the introduction (by other others (they
: always give away everything there is to give away
: about the book)) and read the prologues.
:
: Steven, have a nice trip. I am envious too. I always
: wanted to see St. Petersburg. Well, not *always* but
: since I've read Crime and Punishment.
:
: Lale
